Global E-commerce Summit 2015 exceeded all expectations

0

With more than 850 attendees the Global E-commerce Summit 2015 in Barcelona organized by Ecommerce Europe, BBP Media and Shop.org was a great success. People used the Global E-commerce Summit App for over 100.000 in three days. Speakers and keynote speakers contributed to the event with their insights into various aspects of cross-border e-commerce.

Among the international keynote speakers were John Bovill from Monsoon Accessories, Maile Lesica from the Gilt Group and Kit Yarrow from Yarrow Consulting. Diane Wang, the CEO of DHGate, who was as well one of the keynote speakers, has emphasized the great opportunities cross-border e-commerce offers to SME’s: “There is a world of opportunities out there and retailers just need to learn how to identify them.”

The winners of the Europe E-commerce Awards this year were Asos for the Pure Player Award, Micksgarage for the Entrepreneurial Award and SuitSupply for the Omni-channel Award. This is a huge motivation for attending retailers to engage in the competition next year and work on the development of their cross-border e-commerce.
